Is PRALUENT® (alirocumab) Right for Me?

Did you know that as your bad (LDL) cholesterol levels rise, so does your risk of heart disease? Even if you’ve made changes to your diet and lifestyle, and tried taking the highest tolerated dose of statin, if your bad cholesterol is still high—you’re at risk.

Your doctor may decide that it is time to add PRALUENT. PRALUENT is used along with diet and maximally tolerated statin therapy in adults with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (an inherited condition that causes high levels of bad cholesterol) or atherosclerotic heart problems, who need additional lowering of bad cholesterol. The effect of PRALUENT on heart problems such as heart attacks, stroke, or death is not known. It is not known if PRALUENT is safe and effective in children.

Simply answer a few quick questions and we’ll provide you with a customized list of questions to use as a conversation starter with your doctor.

Step 1 of 3:
Choose the option that best describes you

I have angina or I have had a heart attack or stroke

I am concerned that with my history and high levels of bad cholesterol, I may have plaque build-up in my arteries, and may be at increased risk of heart disease.

I have/may have HeFH*

Due to my high levels of bad cholesterol and family history of early heart attacks and/or other cardiovascular events, I am worried about heart disease. *Heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia

I think my bad cholesterol is high but I’m not sure

I may be at risk and would like to know what my options are.

Step 2 of 3:
Choose the answer that best describes how you are currently treating your bad (LDL) cholesterol (Select one)

I’m working with my doctor to lower my bad cholesterol. It’s under control with diet and statins or other cholesterol-lowering medication.
My bad cholesterol levels are still high even though I’m dieting and taking the highest tolerated dose of a statin, or other cholesterol-lowering medication(s).
I am on a statin and I am having trouble tolerating a higher dose but am still under the care of a doctor for my bad cholesterol.
I am not currently on medication, or I stopped for reasons other than side effects.
